Dear AOSA members,

 

As some of you know, the Orff Institute, Mozarteum University in Salzburg offers a graduate course titled Special Course “Advanced Studies in Music and Dance Education - Orff-Schulwerk” on even-numbered years. This course is taught in English and will be held from October 2010 until June 2011. It is offered to teachers of music and dance pedagogy with at least three years teaching experience.

 

The curriculum includes:

·         Didactics of Elemental Music and Dance

·         Pedagogy and Practice Teaching

·         Ensemble and Improvisation

·         Composing and Arranging

·         Movement/Dance Technique

·         Basic Choreography and Improvisation

·         Movement Accompaniment

·         Music and Dance for Different Age Groups

·         Projects in: Movement/Integrating the Arts/ Elemental Music Theater

·         Theory and Practice of Instrument Building

and others.

 

Teachers are faculty members of the Orff Institute, University Mozarteum, Salzburg along with international guest teachers.

Students are from all over the world and represent the cultural diversities of their countries and homes.
